Labs4Edu is a project dedicated to secondary schools and aimed at technologically advancing their experimental teaching activities in the fields of molecular biology and biotechnology.
The idea is that early access to advanced laboratory technologies can foster greater interest and engagement in these fields among students, thus stimulating the development of new educational paths, innovative ideas, and valuable future research.
Labs4Edu was born from the collaboration between Labs2Life and WonderGene , a company specialized in scientific education, and specifically will see:
- Labs2Life will be responsible for setting up laboratory spaces and distributing equipment, reagents, and experimental kits adapted for IBSE (Inquiry-Based Science Education) purposes;
- WonderGene holds training courses for teachers on the correct performance of teaching activities.
This project, presented for the first time at Didacta 2023 , is part of the “ ScienceUp by WonderGene ” business line and includes various equipment packages with which to carry out activities such as: gel electrophoresis, DNA analysis, protein study, characterization of bacteria and viruses or the use of fluorescent markers.
