Design and construction of the new Eingenmann&Veronelli laboratories within the prestigious OpenZone spaces (Bresso).
Project in collaboration with Rise Ingegneria.

The client
Founded in 1910, Eigenmann & Veronelli is an international group operating in the distribution of specialty chemicals and food ingredients for industry.
Headquartered in Rho (MI), EV has a direct presence in Italy, the Iberian Peninsula, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, and a broad commercial reach in over 40 countries worldwide.
The company is a key player in chemical research and innovation, with a broad and diversified product portfolio and customized solutions in terms of technical support and formulation, marketing, and supply chain.
Its target markets span various industrial sectors.
Before the intervention: the client’s requirements
Eingenmann&Veronelli chose the renowned OpenZone science campus in Bresso as the location for its new applications laboratories, but the spaces intended to house them were, prior to the intervention, intended for other uses.
The electrical and ventilation systems had been designed to serve an office solution with partially glazed movable partitions.
The spatial organization, choice of materials, and system layout were unsuitable for hosting scientific laboratories.
Our intervention: the solution
Our intervention took place in steps:
- Verification of the technical feasibility of converting the spaces to a new intended use
- Development of a project aimed at meeting the needs of the new destination (experimental scientific laboratory)
- Implementation of upgrades such as: renovation of electrical, air conditioning, and water systems, with particular attention to the redevelopment of civil parts and technical infrastructure such as technological systems and fixed fire prevention devices.
- Delivery of the new laboratory with compliant spaces designed for efficient flows
