DIDACTAITALIA is the fair dedicated to schools that will be held at Fortezza da Basso (Florence) between 20 and 22 March 2024.
The Fair was founded 50 years ago in Germany and has long since been replicated in Italy, specifically to foster debate on the world of education among institutions, associations, and entrepreneurs in our country and to create a meeting place for schools and companies in the sector.
The Fair runs on two tracks
• commercial track with the main companies in the school supply chain (from publishing to construction, from technology to furnishings, from stationery to services, from museum education to tourist destinations, from training to music education up to paths for transversal skills and orientation)
• training track: concerning the training of teachers and school managers with top-level training events.
Labs2Life and WonderGene: A Successful Collaboration on the Labs4Edu Project
Labs4Edu is a project dedicated to secondary schools and aimed at technologically advancing their experimental teaching activities in the fields of molecular biology and biotechnology.
The idea is that early access to advanced laboratory technologies can foster greater interest and engagement in these fields among students, thus stimulating the development of new educational paths, innovative ideas, and valuable future research.
Labs4Edu was born from the collaboration between Labs2Life and WonderGene, a company specialized in scientific education, and specifically includes:
Labs2Life: set up laboratory spaces and distributed equipment, reagents, and experimental kits adapted for IBSE (Inquiry-Based Science Education) purposes;
WonderGene: training courses for teachers on the proper implementation of teaching activities.
This project, presented for the first time at Didacta 2023, is part of the “ScienceUp by WonderGene” business line and includes various equipment packages for activities such as gel electrophoresis, DNA analysis, protein studies, bacterial and viral characterization, and the use of fluorescent markers.
